Nothing CMF 2 pro is the successor of the world’s first different phone. CMF came as a revolution with nuts and bolts which made users change the color of the phone. Now this phone redesigned with a similar look but there are some changes. 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model priced ₹18,999. And 8GB RAM and 256GB storage priced ₹20,999. Design and build quality of Nothing CMF 2 pro:
The Nothing CMF 2 pro has the biggest difference is weight and thickness of the phone. The previous generation felt like bulk phones but now they have redesigned it as light weight and easy to manage the phone with a single hand. The phone comes with plastic material which also plays a crucial role in reducing the weight of the phone.
As I mentioned, the back panel has changed. The phone comes with 3 cameras and the camera setup has changed which looks cool. The orange and white colors of the phone come with dual tone back panels. Other colors are single colored back panels only.
The most important and useful thing nothing has done is they have provided a charger and case with the phone box. As the phone is budget segment so providing charger and case should be mandatory for the users. Last generation phone lacks it, all the users had bought the charger and case.
On the right side of the phone, we have volume rocker button, and on the left side we have power button and an essential button which does a lot of work in our daily life tasks. Let us know about the essential button later. On the bottom of the phone, we have a single speaker grill and USB-C charging port and primary mic and sim card tray. Top of the phone we have a secondary mic.
Display of Nothing CMF 2 pro:
Nothing CMF 2 pro comes with big 6.77-inch full HD flexile AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The display has the support of HDR 10+ where we can watch HDR content seamlessly. Display comes with 3000 units’ peak brightness which makes easy to use broad day light. It is protected with Panda Glass. We also have L1 support. But we cannot see HDR content in Netflix.
We have in display an optical fingerprint sensor which works well.
Performance of Nothing CMF 2 pro:
The phone is powered with Media Tek Dimmensity 7300 pro which is good. For day-to-day tasks, the phone handles things very easily. But while coming to the gaming we can play games but not as professional. It just supports casual gaming; we get frame drops and some other lag issues in the phone.
Even this summer while gaming or else outdoor photoshoot does not heat up the phone. The phone gets more heated, but the highest registered temperature is 48 degrees which is quite okay.
Battery:
The Nothing CMF 2 pro comes with an 5000mAH battery which is huge. We can easily use the phone one full day. For low usage people it will withstand more than a day. In the box we get 33Watt charging which is low when compared with the battery capacity. The phone takes 1 ½ hour to get fully charged. Which is okay for a budget phone?
Software:
No CMF 2 pro comes with nothing OS 3.2 and Android 15 out of the box. As an advantage of nothing phone is we get clean UI. We do not have any bloatware apps which disturb us. With the clean UI we also get app lock and clone apps features which all users need it.
Getting this clean UI in budget segment smartphones is a dream. Nothing made it true with their phones.
A new feature added is private space. Where we can add a fingerprint to it which is different from the phone unlocked once. When we swipe left from the app menu we get access to it. We can hide apps and photos here. It is really a private space because having a fingerprint to unlock the phone cannot have access to private space.
Camera Nothing CMF 2 pro:
The Nothing CMF 2 pro comes with triple camera setup. The main camera is 50MP, the telephone is 50MP and ultra-wide is 8MP. But there are no OIS in any of the cameras. The front has a 16MP camera.
We need to check out once after the phone gets released. But dimmensity is the not a processor which could handle the image processing. Qualcomm has the best image processing.
Using the rear main camera, we can record 4K 30FPS videos and in the front camera we can record 1080P 30 FPS.
