Realme 14 pro plus budget phone launched by Realme after then Flagship Realme GT 7. 14 pro plus is cheaper than its predecessor 13+. It is upgraded in many more segments with better chips, better cameras, big battery, new software and super cool performance. Let us get into the whole review of the phone. The price of the phone is 8GB RAM and 128GB is prices at ₹29,999/-. 8GB 256GB is priced at ₹31,999/- and 12GB 256GB is priced at ₹34,999/-. We can avail ourselves of card offers on some variants.
Body and build quality Realme 14 Pro Plus :
Realme 14 pro plus has launched in three color options in India black, pearl white and purple. Black color option is given with leather back panel and both white and purple are built with glass body. But pear white has a feature of color changing back panel when exposed to less than 16 degrees. Purple is only made for India. We get some visible blue color lines when exposed to low temperatures. It does not seem to be an amazing useful feature, just fancy stuff attached to a phone.
Phone is too handy I our hands easy to carry and use it with single hand. Even though the battery is 6000mAh it does not feel that bulky. Silicon carbon batteries are thinnest once. But this phone has lithium-ion battery, but they have managed to make it 8mm slim. The phone also weighs 194 grams.
We get power and volume buttons on the right side of the panel. Speakers’ grills are provided at the top and bottom of the phone. Sim tray is also present in bottom of the phone.
Display:
The phone comes with 6.83 display 1.5k AMOLED display with quad curve and refresh rate of 120Hz. The display peak is 1500 as they claim. But it does not seem to be like that. While coming to display quad curve displays have a little bit curve which makes look like bezel free. As the bezel of the phone will be went into curve so while streaming content we cannot see bezels.
The phone comes with in display fingerprint sensor which is good at response.
While coming to brightness of the phone is not up to the mark as they have mentioned. The peak brightness as they have mentioned is 1500nits, but it was not exceeding 1000nits. Which is less and there will be watching issue. We can expect more brightness in sunlight, even winter sunlight has bad visibility and when get summer I do not know if we can see or not.
And while playing HDR videos in the phone there is an issue in playing. The phone screen is turning to night mode and the video is not able to play in YouTube. There is no increase in the brightness of the phone. This issue may be a software glitch which can be solved in software update.
Sound quality:
The phone comes with dual stereo speakers which are placed at the earpiece and bottom of the phone. There is no Dolby Atmos support in this phone, as we see in all their phones, they have brought their own o reality audio is present in this phone. We can expect Dolby for this budget we keep.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Processor:
The phone out of the box comes with 7s Gen3 processor. Which is not bad, but in the same budget segment we can expect a 7+Gen3 processor as their competitors are providing. Sevens gen three is almost equal to 7 Gen 3 processors. But for the budget of 30k we could expect 7+Gen3.
AnTuTu score was almost 8,11,000 and single core geek benchmarks every 1200 and multi core geek benchmark 3200. And the stability of the processor is 98% from these performances we can say the processor is well modified according to the phone and stability is good.
While coming to the real time usage. For normal phone usage the phone is very good, which can manage all your daily tasks easily. But while coming to the gaming experience as the phone supports BGMI with 90FPS. It is not bad but not the best too. In the budget of 30k we are getting better by gaming experienced phones in the market. If you want to play heavily and rank push, I will not suggest this phone to you. But the good point is temperature even while playing BGMI the temperature of the phone was stable and low.
Battery:
This phone offers a heavy 6000mAh battery like all its competitors provide. The battery is supported by 80W fast charging. We can charge our phone from 0 to 100 in 50 minutes around. We need to on the smart rapid charging which is available in settings.
The battery easily lasts till evening even if you use it heavily. While for the working and students it will easily lasts more than a day. It got almost 9 hours of screen on time. Which is pretty good battery life.

Camera:
The camera is placed in the middle of the back pane with a round section. The cameras are placed in triangular way at the same lights are also placed same. As this series produces camera centric. The main camera of this phone is a 50MP Sony IMX 896 with optical image stabilization. And another 50MP periscope camera with Sony IMX 882 sensor OIS. And 8 MP ultra-wide camera.
But the worst part in the camera is its ultra-wide camera. It clicks the most disgusting images. Even in the broad daylight there are no details in the images. Just leave ultra-wide for clicking images in this phone.
Realme 14 pro plus have marketed their 120X zoom, which is another disgusting thing in this phone. I know we cannot expect more than that but even the preview for the zoom is worse. It just shifts its position even if the phone is stable. And the location of the preview is very different than the actual target.
While the main camera comes one time to six times photos are excellent with the best detailing and colors. Portrait photos are also impressive with their details and good bokeh effects. If cameras are placed to sunlight and clicked in portrait the photos of a person’s face appear to be more white.
Zoom features:
2x and 6x are digital zooms and 3x is optical zoom. So, while coming to the low light pictures. Photos with optical zoom are good as in light, but for the 2x and 6x as it is digital zooms the photos are softened.
As I have three lights provided, those are flashlights where we can set warm light also. As per the frame requirement we can set warm light or normal flashlight.
Front camera:
The pictures are good at the segment. Even in the nighttime the details colors are good. In the daylight front cam photos have excellent details we can’t expect more from it from front camera.
Video:
Realme 14 pro plus supports 4K 30fps. The camera’s performance is the same as in photos. One and three times are amazing at its detailing but while coming to two times and six times is getting soft and unable to capture details. The OI’S recorded videos are getting dark then they really appear.
While coming to the front camera recordings. 4k 30fps is supported. 1080p 60fps has stabilization. But while coming to the bokeh effect which is worse in this phone. 720p bokeh effect. This is too bad for a phone in 30k pricing. I need to improve it a lot.
Night video recording is also not good at all. We are getting huge noise in videos and over soft of the video.
Realme 14 Pro Plus Software:
We get android fifteen out of the box which all phones have these days. Google Dialer is default in the phone. In this we can record calls, but the opposite person knows it has been recorded. If you want, you can install o dialer from a play store and set it as a default dialer.
The phone has a lot of bloatware apps which are disgusting when we use the phone daily. While opening the phone better we disable some agreements, so bloatware does not appear. Even though hot apps and hot games application pops in your apps. Just disable it for better user experience.
And while coming to image processing. While you click the image and see the preview immediately it will not happen. It will take at least 1min for a photo to appear. Ai is used for image processing. The phone comes with LPDDR 4 RA and USF3.1 storage which is good.
