Redmi A4 5G launched by Xiaomi as an entry level smartphone market. This phone comes with a 5G network budget segment with better camera, display and battery life. The phone priced at ₹8,900 for 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM and ₹9,900 for 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM variants.
Redmi A4 5G design and build quality:
Xiaomi’s Redmi A4 5G does not look like an entry level smartphone with this cheap price. The phone’s design is amazingly cool and looks premium. The phone is available in two colors Sparkle purple and starry Black. The phone has a metallic finish on tis rear panel with a circular camera module. Both panels made of glass and midframe is polycarbonate, but very good finished. Rear panels are not plastic, other brands of plastic frame in other brands.
The phone is a bit heavy, which weighs 212 grams. Also, the phone comes with an IP52 rating, but the water damage is not covered under warranty. We get the volume buttons on the left side of the phone pane and the power button is placed just below the volume and the power button also has fingerprint sensor. On the left side of the panel, we have sim slot.
Botton off the phone we have a speaker grill and type-c charging port and primary mic.
Display:
Redmi A4 have 6.88-inch displays which is quite larger in the segment. But the bezels of the display are thick. The phone is bulk, which makes it difficult to manage the phone with one hand. The camera is placed as drop shaped in middle of the display. Display is of Hyper OS best scaling and display has HD+ resolution which makes content soft and easy visible. And, on light we have a peak brightness of six hundred kits. It is lower but we can expect this from budget smartphone.
Redmi A4 comes with 120HZ refresh rate which gives you 240Hz touch sample rate. The display also comes with TUV low blue light certification and TUV flicker-free certification and TUV circadian Friendly.
Sound Quality of Redmi A4:
The single bottom speaker found okay for using for using calls and watching some videos stuff.
Processor:
Redmi A4 comes with Qualcomm snapdragon 4s Gen 2, where the most smartphones get these processors in this budget. The processor is efficient to handle software well for the 120 Hz refresh rate. The switching between the refresh rate was also smooth in auto mode. I look the processor is smooth.
The AnTuTu score of the phone is around 3,87,157 where we had got the geekbench single core 839 and multi core is scored around 1,919. Which is a bit okay for the phones under 10k. The RAM is of LPDDR4x RAM and USF 2.2 storage.
Battery:
The Redmi A4 comes with huge battery of 5160 mAh battery with is an average for any entry level smartphone. On full loop test the phone sustained more than 19 hours. On the dayily usage the phone lasts more than a day easily without any fear. The phone support 18W charger which quite common for phone. But in box we get 33watt.
Camera:
Redmi A4 has 50MP primary camera with F value 1.8 has the recording capacity of 1080 30FPS.
The front camera comes with 5MP video recording capability of 1080 30fps.
